Getting Started

Welcome to Trinity.

Trinity is a minimalist intermittent fasting tracker built around a simple philosophy: your fasting app should help you build healthy habits without overwhelming you with advertisements, subscriptions, or unnecessary complexity.

Whether you're beginning intermittent fasting for the first time or you're replacing another fasting tracker, this guide will help you get up and running.

Overview

Trinity is designed to do one thing exceptionally well: track your fasting history.

Instead of trying to become a complete health platform, Trinity focuses on providing a clean, reliable, and distraction-free experience.

Core features include:

  • Fasting timer
  • Custom fasting plans
  • Weight tracking
  • Statistics and progress
  • Gamification
  • Offline support
  • Progressive Web App installation

Most users can begin tracking their first fast in less than a minute.

Installing Trinity

Trinity is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can use it directly in your browser or install it on your device for a more native experience.

Desktop

Most Chromium-based browsers display an Install button in the address bar.

After installation, Trinity launches in its own window and behaves like a desktop application.

Mobile

On supported mobile browsers:

  • Open Trinity in your browser.
  • Open the browser menu.
  • Select Add to Home Screen or Install App.
  • Launch Trinity from your home screen.

Installing the app enables a more immersive experience and makes Trinity easier to access throughout the day.

Creating your first fast

Starting your first fast is intentionally simple.

  1. Open the home page.
  2. Choose a fasting plan.
  3. Press Start Fast.
  4. Leave Trinity running in the background or close the application.
  5. Return whenever you want to check your progress.

Your fasting timer continues tracking time automatically.

If you finish your fast early, simply stop the timer. Trinity records your completed fasting session in your history.

Understanding the interface

The application is organized into several focused sections.

SectionPurpose
TimerStart and monitor fasting sessions.
PlansCreate reusable fasting schedules.
StatisticsReview your fasting history and trends.
WeightRecord body weight over time.
GamificationTrack levels, streaks, and achievements.
AnchorsPreserve streaks after missing a fast.

Each page is designed to focus on a single responsibility, making the interface easy to learn and navigate.

Offline support

One of Trinity's primary design goals is reliability.

Unlike many web applications, Trinity continues working even when your internet connection is unavailable.

While offline you can still:

  • view your fasting history
  • monitor your current fast
  • record weight entries
  • browse previously loaded data
  • continue using the application normally

When connectivity returns, any required synchronization occurs automatically.

Your data

Your fasting history represents months or even years of progress.

Trinity is designed to treat that information with care.

The application minimizes unnecessary data collection and avoids advertising or engagement-driven features.

As the application evolves, additional tools such as backup and export capabilities will make it easier to retain ownership of your data.

Tips for new users

If you're new to intermittent fasting, consider the following recommendations:

  • Start with shorter fasting durations before attempting longer fasts.
  • Focus on consistency rather than perfection.
  • Stay hydrated throughout your fasting window.
  • Record your weight consistently if you're tracking body composition.
  • Review your statistics regularly to identify long-term trends instead of daily fluctuations.

Building sustainable habits is more valuable than maintaining perfect streaks.
